Attention, parents! Please note that we immediately launch any child who presents with one or more of these symptoms: fever or chills, cough, difficulty breathing, muscle aches, headache, loss of smell or taste, sore throat, runny once, sick to your stomach, or diarrhea, into our COVID process. This is mandated by the Diocese of San Diego and San Diego County Health Department. If you do not know what our COVID process is, please consult the documents that Mrs. Provo sent home at the beginning of the school year.
Start thinking about Christmas gifts you might need. If shopping on Amazon remember to use Smile.Amazon.com. Choose Pastor of St. Kieran’s as the recipient of donations. Happy shopping!
As we have done in years past, St. Joseph’s Pantry, our parish emergency food pantry, will be distributing Christmas food bags to 140 needy families. This year we are asking your help in providing dry cake mixes, tubs of frosting, and dry stuffing mixes (i.e., Stove Top or Mrs. Cubbison’s) to add to the distributed bags. If you would like to donate one or more of these items before December 12, you may drop them off at the Parish Administration Office, the school office, or St. Joseph’s Pantry on Saturdays between 10:00 through 11:30 a.m. The Pantry will be closed on November 28.

If you’ve done this, we thank you but we still have many families outstanding. Please be certain to go into your SchoolSpeak account and update all your information: address, phone, email, and especially the medical information and emergency contact information are particularly important. We will be using the information from your SchoolSpeak account as our guide for your children’s well being. If you have trouble accessing your account, contact the office or Abby Chargualaf and we will do our best to help you out.
On Monday, October 6 at 8:30 a.m. we will hold our blessing of the animals. This will involve the use of a photograph only. God required that we assist the animals when they need our help. Each being (human or creature) has the same right of protection - St. Francis of Assisi. We hope you will join us.
There are emergency lunches available for $3.00 which include peanut butter and jelly Uncrustables, chips, fruit, and water. If your child forgets a lunch and you cannot bring one or you did not have time to make one at home, we can fill in. Remind your child to speak up!
If your child will be absent for any reason including illness, family matter, travel, etc., please email both the teacher and the office by 9:00 a.m. to report the absence and the reason. If your child is coming from a medical appointment, be sure to bring a slip from the medical office verifying the appointment. Thank you!

Our next deposit day is on Friday, September 25 at 8:30 a.m. here on campus. We have a long standing partnership with Inland Federal Credit Union (IFCU), a Catholic credit union created in 1960 by St. Kieran and Holy Trinity Parishes. IFCU serves the 16 parishes in our east county deanery.
Our students have the opportunity to open a savings account with many benefits and to make deposits twice a month right here on campus. Inland Federal Credit Union also offers loans to help with tuition, uniforms, computers, and other back-to-school needs. They also co-sponsor our school events.
If you would like to open an account for your child, download and complete the application, or pick one up in the school office. Have your child bring the application and deposit to the credit union representative.
