New Parent Night

Please join us for our new parent night on Wednesday, August 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall. Meet the people you need to meet and receive all the news and information you will need to know for the 2023–2024 school year. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. New families will not want to miss this!

Halloween Costumes

Students may wear Halloween costumes to school on October 31, 2024. Costumes must be light-hearted with light face makeup and hair tint and with no weapons, blood, or gore of any kind. Please ensure costumes for little ones are bathroom friendly.

Logging Service Hours

To log service hours, please use FACTS Family Portal. If you are a PTG board member, coach library reader, or chair of a major fundraiser, all you need to do is log in once and add 25 hours. Other families, please log each event that you have volunteered for such as any field trip, Trunk or Treat, Dads & Donuts and indicate the number of hours. We send a report to each family each quarter.

Halloween Spirit Day

Students may dress in purple, orange, or black for $1 dress-down day and Halloween spirit day on Friday, October 18. Please save costumes for Thursday, October 31.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-teacher conferences will take place on Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8. School will dismiss at noon on those days. We will list your assigned conference date and time in your Thursday, October 17 envelope.

No Go Tell

We will be introducing the topic of safe environment to students in all grades on Tuesday, October 8. Please read the letter you received that details what we say and how we talk about this topic. Take the time to read the letter carefully, and please continue this conversation at home in your family.

Drop Off Reminder

Please remember that there is no stopping to get out of your car in the drop-off line. If your child needs you to get out to assist them, please park in the parking lot. Thank you for your help in making this run smoothly.

Blessing of the Animals

Our blessing of the animals will take place on Monday, October 7 at 8:15 a.m. Please secure pets in a cage or on a leash. You will need to take pets home right after the blessing. If you are unable to bring your pet, you can bring a picture.

Trunk or Treat

Save the date of our trunk or treat on Friday, October 18 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will be games, a cake walk, and treats. We look forward to seeing you there!

Cold and Flu Season

We are heading into cold and flu season. Please do not send your child to school if he/she is sick. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Dads and Donuts

Please join us for our dads and donuts event on Friday, September 20 from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. We look forward to seeing you there!

Make-Up Picture Day

Make-up picture day is on Tuesday, September 24. Dress your best, and be ready to smile!

Picture Day

Picture day is Monday, September 16, 2024! Please wear your Mass clothes and look your best.

Volunteer Safety Training

If you plan to volunteer at our school, you must first complete a background check and Safe Environment training.

Safety Reminder

Please help us be good neighbors. Remember that we are in a school zone, and that visitors should not be driving more than 25 miles per hour.

No School

There is no school on Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day. School resumes on Tuesday, September 3. Enjoy your long weekend!

Deposit Day

Our first deposit day is on Friday, September 13. Your child has the opportunity to open a savings account with Inland Federal Credit Union right here at school. We usually have two deposit days a month. Develop the habit of saving!

CMG Connect

If you plan on attending school events such as class parties or field trips, you must complete the training on CMG Connect: Safe Environment and the Background Check. It doesn’t take long, and it is mandatory.

If you have already completed CMG, please take a moment to check that it has not expired. The renewal process takes minutes to do. Your certification requires renewal approximately every five years. The CMG Connect link has all the information you need to get started.

Back to School Night

Please join us on Thursday, August 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for back-to-school night. Meet your child’s teacher and learn about classroom procedures and expectations.

For K-5 students, only parents attend. For middle school, we look forward to seeing both parents and students.

Please Report Absences

Please email the school office & cc the homeroom teacher by 9:00 a.m. to let us know your student is absent and provide the reason for the absence. You can also call the school office at (619) 588-6398.

2024–2025 School Supply Lists

School supply lists are now available for the 2024–2025 school year. Make sure to have everything on your supply list to equip yourself for another great year.

Missions Donations

This year, SKCS scholars contributed $1,811.09 to the Missions. That’s $1,000 more than last year! Thank you for your generosity.
