A Message from Our Principal
November 2024
Greetings St. Kieran Catholic School Families,
November comes upon us with the Feast of Saints and All Souls’. During the month of November, we are reminded of our loved ones who have gone before us. We celebrated All Saints with a very special school mass with our children dressing up in honor of their favorite saint and knowing the significance of their saint. Many of our children are named after saints as well. This brings all of us closer to our saints. Each of our 8th-grade scholars presented their living saints presentation. Our young ladies and gentlemen brought to life their saint and shared their knowledge of the saint’s history and significance to sainthood with all our faculty, families, and students.
St. Kieran Catholic School is filled with the love of Jesus. We are so blessed to participate in weekly Mass, First Friday Adoration, special Masses devoted to Feast Days, Blessings of the Animals, Advent, and Lent. Our Pastor, Fr. Ben, is dedicated to our spiritual well-being and the teachings of Christ. St. Kieran Catholic School is unique in that our church parishioners are dedicated to supporting our school.
We believe in a rigorous academic experience for every child to thrive and to reach their full potential. Communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and Catholic values are the heart of an educational and spiritual program. Our scholars have an important role and legacy to carry once they move on to high school and college. Our Catholic young ladies and gentlemen have a critical role to proclaim and to carry out their mission and beliefs as taught through the Gospel and Scriptures.
Quarter one has come to an end, and parent conferences are this week. Our 8th-grade class is preparing for high school. Our young ladies and gentlemen are visiting campuses, preparing for entry exams, working on their Capstone projects, and getting the most out of their years here at St. Kieran. Our student council and class representative are now elected and eager to plan spirit events.
Our jog-a-thon committee is hard at work and preparing for our November turkey trot. We are so excited to see the pledges come in and are already making huge strides in surpassing this year’s goal. Trunk or Treat was a tremendous success made possible by many new families, community, and a huge gathering of fall festiveness. Thank you to Mrs. Erin Yankovich who has dedicated many years to organizing and leading this incredible family event. Thank you, Erin!
We continue to update and beautify our facilities. Our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Music) innovation lab is near completion. With just a few last-minute details, we look forward to its grand opening. Thank you to all our sponsors, including Mrs. Dianne Gonzalez.
Thank you, St. Kieran families, for your support and dedication to Catholic education. We greatly appreciate you!
